Random Beauty

We've been having some much-needed rain lately. Here are a few shots taken with mobile devices as I was out and about.

I visited our Veterans Memorial and caught some of the dramatic clouds from that day's storms.

Random rainbow caught outside my classroom, just over our Eagle mascot statue

Another rainbow!

Critters...

I have three dogs
Casey Grey is 13, a yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix
Riley J. is 3, a white Lab/who-knows-what mix
Bailey Jo is 2, a chocolate Lab/kangaroo mix (just making sure you're paying attention)
All three dogs were rescues - although in many ways, I believe they rescued me

Is it any wonder my days are filled with love and joy?

In Memory Of Frankie Cat...

Those of us who are owned by our pets know how difficult it is to lose one.
My Frankie cat passed away yesterday.

I love you and miss you, Frankie.
Thank you for being my buddy for so long.

The Texas Collection, Part 1

San Antonio is one of my favorite places to shoot.
So much history there!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from past visits:

No longer in business - glad I got the shot!

One of my absolute favorite theatres. The inside is INCREDIBLE.

Casa Rio on the Riverwalk at night

St. Joseph's (also known as St. Joske's - see history of this nickname below)

The Alamo. Its history haunts me and I visit every time I'm in town.

North Star Mall (aka "Big Boot Mall")

About St. Joseph's:
In 1944, Joske's of Texas bought the church-owned St. Joseph College a couple of lots away and later made an offer as high as $200,000 to buy the church property, according to the parish history book. The church unanimously refused the deal, a source of pride to this day and the reason for the parish's enduring nickname, St. Joske's.

(How can you not love that?)
